Artist’s Statement:
Light, in all its many meanings, is a fundamental element and quality of my work: Light as the source of existence, as the first sign of creation, as a characteristic of materiality, as an essence, as a guide. Light exists and does not exist. It illuminates life but is not alive. Light lets us see and understand. Light is sacred yet it is mundane. Light is in everything and is everywhere. The visual point of my work is to capture light through crisscrossing lines. When these lines intersect with light they create a transparent image, a new form.
